The other photographs from the show

The photographs from March 7 add the exhibition floor to the dinner, hotel and taxi conversations. They show the different ways exhibitors presented the machinery: a compact fitting display, components arranged on white plinths, White’s orange-and-black lineup and a stand built around a seating area as well as the products.

These are scenes I photographed during the visit, not a record of every booth I saw or every conversation I had. Seen with the hours outside the halls, they give the trip more of its shape: a large working exhibition during the day and time around tables and around the city afterward.
