Origins stay with each preparation
The archive is a collection of separate meals. Each linked account identifies its own date and the recipe, cook or place that can currently be established.

Follow one meal at a time
The most useful way through these photographs is by individual plate or preparation. The dark pasta, the filled pasta and the creamy pasta were separate meals. The August peppers and steak were separate preparations, too. A photograph can introduce each story without making it a chapter of an invented dinner.
That leaves room for different kinds of food writing. One account can follow a cook at home; another can linger on the presentation of a meal while traveling. A sauce comparison can focus on trying flavors. Each needs its own date, photographs and observations, so the next visit adds detail to the right experience.
